Jennifer Knapp Beudert, Manager, Robinson Community Learning Center

The training Dr. Moss provided included both the theoretical framework of the MBTI assessment and hands-on activities that provided concrete illustrations of these concepts.  In addition, he also made practical suggestions for using this tool in the workplace.  Dr. Moss’ friendly, open demeanor encouraged participation from all—not just the extroverts in the group!  The activities involved were enjoyable and engaging, resulting in positive team-bonding.  The effects of the RCLC Myers-Briggs experience lasted long beyond the end of the training as it gave the RCLC staff a common language to use when approaching concerns in the workplace.  I can’t thank Dr. Moss enough for the positive impact he had on the RCLC, and would highly recommend this training for other work groups.

Amber Werner, Financial Stability and AmeriCorps Program Director, United Way of St. Joseph County

Thank you Dr. D. for facilitating an excellent Myers-Briggs workshop for 28 of our AmeriCorps members.  You struck the right balance of humor, insight and creative challenge.  Thanks to you, our members have a better understanding how personality (and assumptions about personality) can impact the workplace in both positive and negative ways.  I can already see how this knowledge has begun to increase both member efficiency and their level of enjoyment on the job.  On a personal note, I am grateful for how this experience has increased my level of managerial insight, allowing me to better respond to our members’ needs.  Kudos for a tremendous workshop, and I look forward to having you engage next year’s group of gifted and motivated AmeriCorps members.

Debra Bruce, Community Foundation of St. Joseph County

The group responded beautifully to your presentation. You provided fresh insight to an issue that has plagued us for far too long. You not only provided information that challenged us, but the group walked away with practical tools for change. When our task force met to review the comments of the rest of the group, there was overwhelming consensus on one point; that your presentation was the most valuable part of the day.

Dr. Moss, I never got a chance to really tell you that I have admired your diversity efforts on Notre Dame’s campus. Truly, the three years I worked with you were definitely brilliant in so many ways. Being able to have the right tools – as well as the heart and experience – was great to share.

Roberta A. Jordan, J.D., Assistant Director of National Fellowships, Center of Undergraduate Scholarly Engagement, University of Notre Dame

Dr. Moss was masterfully effective in drawing the students into true back-and-forth conversation in which they asked questions of him (an administrator) and of each other, offered insights, and listened with open ears and hearts. I personally learned quite a lot about how students really feel about the pros and cons of dorm life, the dating scene, and social expectations here at Notre Dame.

Thank you for setting up such a wonderful presentation with Dr. Tatum. It is awesome to walk away from a staff development or teacher training and feel empowered and energized rather than the usual beat down and disgruntled.

Wendy Folk, Swanson Primary Center

Excellent work in articulating the needs of students and parents and providing hope for change in our community. The issues are systemic and city-wide, but not insurmountable. Thank you for your outreach to the community.

Frankie Beard, Principal, Clay Intermediate Center

Machelle Seese

I was amazed at the way this student responded to you with such interest, respect, and in such an intelligent manner. You made some great suggestions to us and you laid out your high expectations for him.

Anna Teresa Phillips, Assistant Principal, Washington High School

Dr. Moss, I continue to be encouraged by your presentations, your enthusiasm and the concerns you have for the students of the SBCSC. I believe all of our students will flourish in the SBCSC if we work together to make it happen. Your presentations are so inspiring and they remind me of the many places we can take our students in this corporation. The sky is the limit!
