First taking the place in 2016, the female Busara (Swahili for Wisdom) Summit was attended by 500 high school students. These young women listened to engaging speakers, participated in targeted workshops, and interacted with community role models. The first goal of this summit was to create an environment that was both caring and relevant. The second goal was to plant the seeds of wisdom in our young people.

First taking the place in 2014, the male Busara (Swahili for Wisdom) Summit was attended by 600 high school students in 2015. These young men listened to engaging speakers, participated in targeted workshops, and interacted with community role models. The first goal of this summit was to create an environment that was both caring and relevant. The second goal was to plant the seeds of wisdom in our young people.
